My hdmi cable won't longer work

I've recently connected the hdmi cable that's usually connected to the xbox one to my computer instead to display my computer screen on the TV, and after some time I went ahead and plugged it back into the xbox one. But after turning the xbox one on again,
it didn't display anything on the TV. I could easily plug it back into my computer and it would work fine, but when I plug it back into the xbox the TV remains black even after restarting several times. How can I fix this?

    :)

  2. HDMI No Signal

I stated that I used other HDMI Cables and another Tv. My xbox worked on the second tv with the same cable, and my laptop worked with the same HDMI cable on my Tv in the same HDMI Port. The Xbox, Tv, and HDMI cable work fine, they just won't work together
    right now for some reason.

I tried it with an av cable instead, dont have another hdmi cable, and it works fine but i guess i will need to get another hdmi cable to confirm that it is not the female connectors on my tv or my xbox 'til then it all looks like shit

  4. My hdmi cable won't longer work

I had a similar problem with a hdmi cable and did not even know this but some of them are "one way" cables , one end is for in and the other is for out ... other than that you may try these....

Your screen is blank after you turn on the console

•Confirm that both your TV and Xbox One console are turned on.

•Check that your TV is set to the correct input signal (HDMI).

•Check that the HDMI cable connection to your console is secure.

•Check that the HDMI cable connection to your TV is secure.

•Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console.

•Perform a cold boot on your Xbox One console by holding the power button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds, and then turn it on again.

•Reset your display settings. Here's how: 1.If there's a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.

2.On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for five seconds to turn off the console.

3.Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You will hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. DO NOT LET GO until the second
    beep occurs.

Note This will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, go to Settings in the guide, select Display & sounds, Video options, and then TV Resolution.

4.If you are required to complete these steps on every boot-up, you will want to change your TV connection to HDMI as shown in step 3 in the next section, "Your screen is blank and you use an AVR in your setup." For more information, see How to adjust the
display settings on your Xbox One console.

•Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV.

•Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV.

•Try connecting your console to a different TV.

Xbox 360 worked fine last night, but now my TV says, "No input signal"

I have the same issue. Xbox one won't recognize signal from HDMI on TCL tv. Works on different another tv but won't work on TCL and red lines on my vizio. Tried settings. Different HDMI cables. Just will no longer work on TCL..called TCL they said it's
an Xbox issue. Xbox says TCL issue.. Frustrated!!!

My console has purple lines running through the screen horizontally?

The same happened with mine. It wasn't the HDMI cable but the HDMI output on the xbox which was no longer working properly.

Aside from than it could also be the HDMI input on your television, unless other devices work just fine. In which case it's the xbox output.

Solutions for this problem are but not limited to:

    a) Use composite cable

    b) Try a HD-VGA cable (Which is what I used, good quality, smoother than HDMI, but that's down to personal preference)

    c) Get the HDMI output replaced

    d) replace your xbox.

My suggestion would be to try the HD-VGA cable. You can get a Microsoft brand which is fairly cheap and works well. Plus you won't need any extra accessories in order to plug in stereo headsets as covering the outputs are no longer an issue.

    hdmi port not working

Try it on another TV with the HDMI cable. If it still won't work, its either the HDMI cable or the console. Try a different HDMI cable after that and then decide if you need to send the console in for repair or not.

    Xbox One losing TV signal

Same issue. Works fine all day, but I shut the system off overnight. Upon boot, signal is there for a brief moment, then lost. Unplugging and re-seating the HDMI cable works just fine, but the wife won't put up with it much longer.
