    nect to my xbox S for some reason. The hard drive works just fine on my pc and it turns on when plugged in, the xbox just wont recognize the hard drive as an external storage device. Is there any ways to fix this, the hard drive has worked in the past and was working earlier today.

    Hi, I hope you're doing well and safe out there. I'm an Independent Advisor and I’m happy to help you today.

    We can try some steps to isolate the issue. Kindly turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds and then plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on then try connecting it again.

    Ive tried resetting and unplugging the xbox multiple times, nothing has made the xbox recognize the hard-drive yet.

    Yes i have done this. My external hard drive had 80% left of storage. But now it wont connect to my xbox. The hard drive itself has the light on and you can feel it turned on, but the xbox itself wont recognize it.

    Series S wont recognize installed games

    I installed them on my old xbox one and transferred them to the external hard drive so I know they are on the hard drive

    All my installed games appear correctly as installed on my Xbox one if I connect the hard drive to it. But when I connect the hard drive to my Series S, most of the installed games appear but about 9 of them do not. The missing games appear as ready to install on my Series S
