my hard drive has stopped working. Help.

I have a Seagrave 2 TB external hard drive (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00UNA1O3Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), it has worked perfectly up until recently. I have tried all of the steps on the support page and have checked other forums
for possible solutions. I have no idea as to how to fix this issue.

The hard drive does not appear on my storage options on my xbox one. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this, I'd rather not have to buy another drive for my xbox.

Hard Drive completely stopped working

I have one of those 1st generation 20 GB hard drives and it has completely stopped working. Like 100% not
working. So If I buy a new hard drive, can I recover everything that was on my old hard drive (Achievements,
Gamer profile, gamerscore, game saves, downloads,etc) to the new one. I know I can't use a data transfer
cable or a USB drive because the old hard drive is not even working. I don't want to lose 5 years worth of
gaming saved on my hard drive. Please help. I'm desperate.

Sounds like you have tried everything that I can think of and unfortunately none of it has worked. Have you tried disconnecting your external drive from you console. Then do another hard reset on your console. While it is off unplug the power cable from
the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and power up the XBOX (do not connect the external HDD until the console is completely up and operational) . Once the console is up completely then attach the external drive. Does the console find the
drive and does it react any differently?

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. If you've worked through all of our available troubleshooting steps, your next step would be to speak with your hard drive manufacturer and see if they have any additional steps to take. If nothing they suggest works, it
sounds like your external HDD may need to be replaced.

Just happened to me tonight as well after about a year of flawless performance. My Xbox won't even connect to the internet unless I unplug it. It just ignores it when I plug it back in.
