My Halo Elite controller wrap/skin comes off. How do I replace it?

In your specific case I can advise you request a call from Microsoft support and insist them to see if they can help you further with this due to this specific warranty issues the best option will be handle all this with them.

It's just the glue wearing out I had this happen to both my elite and on my recon. They sell controller wraps that will help with this problem the replacement pieces are cheap on Amazon as well.

Then you will have to purchase a new one. You can also buy rubber controller wrap style things. That literarily wrap all around the controller. I've seen a few people go this route when some of the rubber started peeling off their elites.

I've heard a lot of the rubberized grips (especially, but not always Elites) coming off. If you have an extended warranty through whichever retailer you purchased your controller from, definitely check that out--I replaced an Elite with the grips coming
off that way.

If you purchase something that sticks over or wraps around, that can help reduce the peeling. I used electrical tape around the edges of mine to keep the grips on until I used the warranty (it was easy enough to remove without damaging the controller further
and made it more comfortable).

If you're already set on trying to fix it yourself (not recommended), cutting the grips down to size and re-gluing them could work, especially if you use a strong, non-expanding glue. You could also take it to an electronics store and see what they recommend.

If you do end up replacing the controller, I'd advise paying the extra bit for the extended warranty in case it happens again, as many warranties do cover stuff like this.

I recently replaced my Elite controller so I’m trying to hold off for the V2. I would love to win one when the time comes. I love my Elite controller. There’s definitely a little learning curve getting used to the paddles. But at this point I would have
a hard time moving back to the original controller.
