My GTA V disk broke

The only way to play without the disc would be to purchase the game digitally.

Happened to me ever since i started playing GTA V tbh. NHL 14 does it to me too now, and never used to when i first bought it a week prior to GTA V's release of course. I thought maybe it was the most recent XBOX update? This really blows. My internet, Online
PC games run fine. I'm with that guy up there, i think GTA V broke my xbox also Lolz.

installing disk 2 [the disk you put in to actually start GTA V] will hinder game performance, so don't install disk 2 if you want quality performance...but disk one is the manditory install

Install to HD disk always. XBox will then only spin up the disk to confirm that you own the disk. Not only do you lower the risk of scratched disks but you can continue to use scratched ones. For example, I have an old Mass Effect 1 & a Perfect Dark Zero
disk that were scratched; I borrowed a friend's copies to install but can still use my own to play the Hard Disk content.



In the case of GTA V, you need to install the "Install" disk to the Hard Drive and they recommend not to install the "Play" disk to the same drive. However, you could install an unscratched "Play" disk to a USB drive instead. Hopefully, you can then continue
to play GTA V (with the scratched disk for license purposes)

Try clearing your system cache 3 times an redownload the installation that you have on the installation disk for gta v
