My GOAL is for MICROSOFT to reinstate the ALWAYS ONLINE POLICY !

Also, If their Family Share was as good as they said it would be, and it would have been a system seller, Why did they not do it on Digital Download games only. That way, Microsoft make more money, and there is no chance of a game being passed from hand
to hand. So no need for check-ins.

I am positive that people would go Digital Download if they knew they could share their purchase with 9 other people. I am sure that would be a system seller, and a major growth to Microsofts digital market.

I can't believe there are still people that honestly believe that publishers/developers would ever allow us to share a game purchased with 9 other people. Reality of it is that was never even part of the original policy.

If that were to occur the video game industry would lose 90 percent of their sales and we would be back to playing board games in less than a year because they would all be out of business.

 

I don't believe it Randver, You only have to look at some of the threads i was involved in before and after console release, i am just trying to state the obvious, that a system, shown as too good to be true. Is not normally anywhere near what you expect.

Always-online is the future and I expect Microsoft to bring the DRM back, but as you said not anytime soon.

Lol. Darkside. Not likely. I am 38. Been into Consoles and computers since the Atari 2600. Used to program on the Spectrum 48k. Using the old magazines. And be in slipstream. A scene Amiga group from the late 80s and early 90s.

I started in a games shop at 16. When Genisis and Snes were around. And saw how much it cost to buy in jap and US games. And how much stores make out of new games. Pop and twinbee was one of my favourites.

Even then. We had a return policy. With cash back towards a new game. Because that was where some extra money could be made. But I never saw a game change hands more than 2 or 3 times. Let alone 1 game be used by 10 different people. No publisher would allow
it.
