Same thing happened here. Went through the process of redeeming a prepaid xbox live code and it spat back a "Code already redeemed" with a timestamp of the exact time I went to redeem it.

What exactly does the gift card say in the front? Xbox live, xbox gift card xbox live gold. The a card usually explains what it does... live gold can be used for live gold but some codes can. Be used as currency if added to you account at login.live.com

If it is just a live gold subscription you could always stack it and add more time to your subscription.

I purchased a 3 month gold live gift card and a $25 gift card. I added the cards via my computer under my Microsoft account and now when I went to my xbox360 console to purchase a game it won't allow me to and it doesn't show my recent card purchases. I
tried adding the cards directly to my console and couldn't so I went to the website from my computer.

I previously went on to a trip to mexico and im from the U.S. and i saw my xbox live was going to expire in a couple of days so i went to the store, and bought 2 gift cards , an xbox live gift card and a normal gift card, i went home and couldn't reddem
the gift cards because it said it was from mexico and im in the U.S. so i changed my location to mexico and it accepted it and i forgot about the other gift card and i was so busy i had to take the gift card to the U.S. so i took my trip to the U.S. and im
trying to redeem it and it says that i cant redeem it even though i put my location to mexico it still wont accept it so please can you help me with this

Please go to
https://account.microsoft.com/family, sign in with your parent account, and check that your kid's Microsoft Account is added into your family.

When you say you have a gift card, is that card a Gift Card for Xbox Live Gold, or is that a currency gift card?

Is your kid able to go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/ and check their subscription status and purchase the Gold subscription?
