My Gift card has expired

I have a gift card which I got it last year. But today when I was trying to use it, I was told that my gift card has expired.

And I contacted microsoft store support agent.

Agent: It's not allowing me to add goodwill credits on your account, Tao Peng. The system isn't accepting the information I indicated.

Agent: I tried it to both email address.

Me: Do we have any other approach? why can not ? Is there anything wrong with my account?

Agent: The reason might be the redemption of the code lapse so I wasn't able to credit this back to your account.

Can anyone help to see how can I get my credit back?

Thanks for the discount links. I usually just buy a few free month trial cards from people on Amazon or ebay, but the shipping does add up. I have tried getting free Amazon gift cards in the past to cover the costs, but my Live is expiring in a week and I don't have that kind of time. Lame. I don't know how I would survive without my Deathmatch on GTA IV.

We don't have the ability to replace an expired Gift Card here unfortunately. It sounds like this is a Microsoft Store promotion so they would be the best team to help you out if they're able to do so. If they aren't able to replace it though, there wouldn't
be anything that can be done I'm afraid.

I'm so sorry for the issues you're having with your $25 Xbox gift card.

There are several reasons why an Xbox gift card may not work. Here are some things you can try to fix the problem:
