My gf can't join my game. Please read.

So my gf and I play next to each other on the same internet, on two separate Xbox's. She has always been able to join my games/lobbies until now.

She can play matchmaking and accept other people's invites successfully, just not mine. She cannot join me and I cannot join her no matter what method we try.

Last night I unplugged the cords to our internet setup (routers etc), reset the router, and eventually somehow temporarily fixed the problem as she could finally join my game. Unsurprisingly, today the problem persisted and the fix wasn't permanent.

The thing is, I cannot just unplug cords and mess with my router/modem/gateway anytime I want because my mom's fiance works at home on his computer all day long. I can only mess with my internet setup at night, so therefore I really need a solution to this
problem that can be done on our consoles or on a laptop without disconnecting the internet from the entire household.

A permanent fix pertaining to my internet setup would be nice but i need to be cautious since it is someone else's internet setup, that they rely on for work.

Hey kS Pharaoh! What brand and model of router are you using? Most likely the router in use does not support multiple consoles on the same network. Post back and let me know!
