My games wont open

Ok, so some of my games i have bought on xbox won't open, I resently bought GTA 5 on microsoft store on the console, but when it was done downloading, the game wouldn't open, I have tried many different methods, such as restarting the game and restarting
the console. I even bought the game on dvd. But it still won't open, Is there any way I can fix this problem.

i have the same problem.youtube wont open,twitch is broken,my activity feed wont load,games with gold wont open...

Sorry to hear it. It already sounds like you tried all the steps possible. Is this a disc or digital download and which title is it? Also, when you deleted the title did you power cycle the console prior to redownloading it? If not then give that a try
to see if it works. To power cycle the console you'll need to hold the power button on it for 10 seconds till it shuts down.

 

Hello Magnusbertil, I recommend always power cycling your console after a games download completion finishes, that way you dont experience any problems here. You may have to reinstall the game, but I would recommend power cycling it first and perhaps clearing
your mac address from advanced network settings on the console.

I would recommend power cycling your console as mentioned above alongside clearing your local saved games.

If there is an error message that pops up simply go to the Microsoft website and type in the code to see what's causing the error. If you're still having issues reach out to Microsoft. Also make sure your console isn't enrolled in the insiders program. If

Do you live in UK? Who's your internet provider? I had similar problem when first got Xbox oneMine came up when I tried to visit a website. It's bt security t&c's thing and for some reason it blocks things like the store and certain pictures on tiles till
you accept it. Might not be same thing that happened with mine but sounded familiar. When I fixed it, it was on old dash so don't know if that changes anything.

Try opening up internet explorer app. If it's same thing as happened with me. It ask you just random stuff about bt internet security. Just skip that and then restart and should be fine.

Hi. Please press and hold the power button on your console for 10 seconds to do a hard reset. Turn the console on and try again.

If that didn't work please navigate to the game under my games and apps and press the menu button and scroll down to saved data and select to delete all locally saved data. Your saved data will sync from the cloud once you open the game again
