my games have completed downloading even when i have my pc turned off

off no, but you don't need to open the app for it to download the game. The console downloads the games off because it has the option to hibernate and does not turn off, unless you disable this option, but on the desktop it does turn off.

See...I have a Smart TV (or at least one with a Wi-Fi connection) and it doesn't update when on standby...it updates when I turn the thing on.

Maybe it's just me and my age but I just don't expect my electronics products to be active when I have turned them off, even if they are in standby mode. Having said that, I have noticed that if I have games in my download queue, they will continue downloading after I have turned the console off....yesterday I turned it on to find it had downloaded and installed 2 80GB+ games whilst turned off. Whilst I was pleased with them being ready when I turned the console on, I was still surprised.

Yes, I had the background download feature switched to on. When I have it switched on, it only has that green flashing light on for just three seconds then it completely turns off to where it stops the download. When the background download feature is off,
after turning it off it just turns off completely.

Im rather dissapointed in this because now I have to purchase this game again even when I had already downloaded and bought the game when it came out on this account and even if I go to my download history it aint there anymore and when this game was taken
off the marketplace my Arcade Game turned from full version to a Trial Version, how the fudge is this possible?

I have been having this Issue for 2 weeks. Cleared all caches, made sure to turn off data saving when i turn off my xbox, I even factory reset my xbox and re-downloaded everything and still having the same issue you are having. Can't even play offline
