My games aren't loading on Xbox Series X

I've been having a weird problem for almost over a month now. For some reason sometimes when I turn on my Xbox Series X and I select a game on my internal storage nothing happens, the game doesn't load or anything. The xbox makes the sound that I selected it but nothing happens. So after that doesn't work I try to play other games to see if they work and all my other game in my internal and external storage start to load up but then say took to long to start. And sometimes when I select a external storage game first they all say took to long to start. I also notcied that this problem also stops my other games from updating or installing and the xbox store won't work either. So far the only way I've been able to play my games is by holding down the button on the xbox and restarting it. Does anyone know how to fix this?

How are you?

Remove the external hard drive from your console and do some tests, see if games run normally without the external hard drive.

If they run normally without the external hard drive maybe this is the cause of the problem may be resetting the console can help and if the problem persists I recommend formatting the external hard drive.

If you need to reset the console>

Reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required.

Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.

In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

To reset the console>

Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console

***Do not reset your console without having your account email and password.***

I tried all the steps and now my xbox series x won't load any of my games...

I appreciate the Xbox One X must be faster at loading games but the Xbox One's speed is fine to me.

The loading speeds of the One X are no better than any other Xbox One as they used the same hard drive...it used to take upwards of 2 minutes for my one X to load a particular game!! You aren't missing out there. The One X is really only if you want the 4k content

We are having exactly the same issue with my Grandson. I managed to finally get him a series X last week. The game payed fine on his xbox one x and also on my X box one x. Having the same loading issue on the series x as others here which is really annoying as it is one of his favourite games.

Hi, yes that will be so, if you bought a game for the XBOX One, it will run better on the XBOX One X (FPS and loading times) and run even better on the XBOX Series X (FPS and loading times)
