    My gamertag


    My gamertag EB0LA ZIMMERMAN was banned for being offensive. I don't see how it is and I'd like it changed back. Unless you banned every person with "tHe Black Death" as their name I feel like I'm being picked on. The Ebola river in Africa is where I did
    field study for my undergrad degree. It means black river. I feel like I just got robbed of $10 since I just changed it yesterday. You can make anything offensive if you try, I'm being singled out and I don't appreciate it.

    My police for judging gamertags is: if I can read it, it's perfet. Shmigloo is kind of readable, so it's kind of perfect.

    Ebola is a very serious issue presently. No matter how you look at it people are going to take offense especially if someone should lose someone to this deadly disease.

    Customer support cannot help you with any name changes. Enforcement deemed it in violation and thus issued the forced name change. They will not change it back and you will be required to pay another 9.99. Enforcement by the way does not ever read this
    forum.

    If support told you to post here they are in complete error.

    My father was murdered with an axe. I'm reporting your name as it is offensive to me. I will flag every name I see dealing with death, murder, any sort of weapon, any historical event where someone died. Everyone has to have happy pony names. Don't like
    it? Pay $10, have your name changed within 10 hours. Don't like it? Pay ten more dollars. I got robbed. Microsoft is employed by a bunch of thieves.

    Unable to change gamertag

    I'm trying to change my classic gamertag which is the one you see in games. My classic gamertag got changed and my Xbox One and Xbox App gamertag stayed the same (the Xbox One gamertag is the ones they added with the new gamertag system).

    My Xbox One gamertag is different to my in-game gamertag and I want my classic gamertag to be changed. You can only change your classic gamertag on the Xbox One console, I have tried using the other ways and you can only change your Xbox Gamertag, not your
    classic gamertag.

    The reason I want to change my classic gamertag is that the classic gamertag can be fifteen characters and the Xbox One gamertag can only be 12 characters. If I use the other ways to change my gamertag it limits me to 12 characters and sets both my gamertags
    to that.

    We are very aware of the websites that suggest this as a way to get a free gamertag change. You will notice that they have shut the thread down and it is over a year old. You will need to block communications and report those who are harassing you. But note
    that use of social engineering to obtain services is a violation of the code of conduct.

    You can post is this forum:
    forums.xbox.com/.../41.aspx     to find out why you received a forced name change, but it is likely your name was offensive in some way and somebody reported it.
