    I tried contacting support and they sent me to the enforcement page. I followed the link they provided but it turns out I can't appeal the name change because it happened in May.

    The gamertag isn't in use and when I try to get it back it says it's unavailable. I'm dumbfounded as to why it was reset and seemingly blacklisted because it wasn't offensive or inappropriate at all. The gamertag was "Chokeslam". This wouldn't be a problem
    if I could just put it on another account and go on with my day but I can't even do that.

    Support also told me to include this reference number: 1440333755

    Is there any way I can get my gamertag back?

    Oh great, my account got Fifa hacked

    @Blank3k Dont be naive or dont bother responding if you dont know whats happening. I got my password reset to get my account back. That still doesnt help why my MICROSOFT points are missing and why I was never notified that my pass changed or anything.

    I have a similar problem! I changed my gamertag a few months back- When I logged in a month or so ago , the gamertag i associate with my email account was changed ! What I'm asking is, can I go back to using my original gamertag or do I use another email
    account with this same gamertag attached !

    This is directly from the enforcement teams website

    When a forced Gamertag change is imposed, the system automatically assigns a new Gamertag to the affected account, much in the same way a system-generated Gamertag is provided when you first sign up for
    Xbox Live.

    If a player is unhappy with the assigned Gamertag and wishes to change it, he or she may purchase a new Gamertag through the standard Gamertag change process.
    However, the Gamertag that received the forced change will remain unobtainable.

    As far as the case review goes here is another excerpt from their website

    Any Xbox Live member with an
    active enforcement action may submit a case for review through the account's

    Enforcement History
    , provided the enforcement meets the following requirements:

    • The enforcement's duration is greater than 24 hours in length
    • The enforcement was issued in the last 12 months
    You may only request a review of your own active enforcement actions, and must be signed in to the account that received the enforcement (or signed in to the parent account if a child account was suspended).
    Prior to submitting a Case Review, you may be prompted to complete a short questionnaire designed to gauge your understanding of the Code of Conduct. Failure to pass this questionnaire will temporarily prevent you from submitting a review, during which time
    we recommend familiarizing oneself with the Code of Conduct.

    Since your gamertag change is no longer active it is not eligible for a case review.

    The enforcement team is the only ones that handle anything to do with enforcement actions and the only way to contact them is through the case review process.
