My Gamertag was forceably changed I feel unnecessarily

So I have had the gamertag "[Mod Removed]" for many many years, I simply found it amusing. Just today it was forceably changed to something really stupid. I have never found the word "butt" to be inappropriate or vulgar, it's just a part
of the human body. Neither words are cuss words. I fail to see how it could have offend anyone. I wouldn't be so mad if it had been changed right after I made the account, but I have had it for years and years, and never had an issue arise from it. I personally
think that someone on Overwatch was mad that I was owning them soundly (I'm good at Overwatch) and reported it just out of spite. If it was just one person complaining then I think it is silly to force a name change (there are 7 billion people on the planet
after all). i have never had a ban or issue on Xbox live before, I have never insulted anyone and have been a model gamer. Also the new name they gave me is stupid and I don't feel I should have to pay to change it. I want my old name back, it was inoffensive
and I thought funny. It was meant as to give people a laugh and I have gotten compliments over the creativeness of it over the years.

I feel forceably changing the name was a hasty decision and not thought through very well. As Jean Luc Picard one quoted

Gamertag Problems - My friends are jerks

I was away from home this weekend and some of my roommates (college) ended up changing my gamertag to ****inmymouth** (ofcourse i edited some of that out) and I was told by customer service to contact you all and have my gamertag forceably changed because
my friends refuse to pay for a new name.

PLEASE please PLEASE HELP!!!

Live changed my gamertag now making me pay for new one.

I got my gamertag changed because of a stupid rule that I technically didn't violate and it got forceably changed to a stupid gamertag and when I went to change it I'm being charged 10 dollars. I disputed it and they toldme because of other people abusing
the free of charge gamertag chance that I must pay for it now. Well guess what Xbox I am throwing away your system and buying PS4 for your terrible customer service.

 

One: this isn't the place to refute about enforcement actions, wrong forum.

Two: It used to be when you got a FNC, you could change it. But people have abused that over the years so it's a random generated name now. To change it, you'll need to pay $10.

Three: It's likely the other word that had it changed.

 

The xbox rep, sent me here. *shrugs*

I shouldn't have to pay to change from a name they gave me. I refuse to play with that name.

Support does that but you're not supposed to anymore. If you want to change your name, you'd have to pay $10 for it.

Dude I would have reported you the moment we got in a match together. Now did you name say around for 10 years. Because that was record for having an offensive name tag.

Second it is XBOX'S home your free speech rights end the moment you log on.

No I don't. I honestly just find it amusing. And after having it for 8 or 9 years I figured it wasn't a problem. "Butt" is not a vulgar word at all, it just a part of the human body. I certainly don't find "***" offensive if someone is using it to refer
to themselves. If I was using it to insult someone else then that would be a different matter. Words are harmless, it's the context behind the words that make them good or bad. The name isn't meant to be offensive or in bad taste, it's meant to be amusing
and I have gotten several compliments about it over the years. I don't report anyone because of there gamertag, (well not yet anyway, i would if i honestly felt one deserved it) but for the most part I get amused by the interesting names people come up with.
