My Gamertag was deleted

And a new one was given to me. Do I have to pay for a new custom gamertag?

It was: ThePeleOfAnal (which is an Archer reference and is hilarious)

Its now:WearyFoal395374 (which is auto-generated ridiculousness)

Also, before you deleted my gamertag, the decent thing to do was say something like "Hey, your gamertag is bad, do us a favor a change it. Thanks,....". I understand that some gamers are idiots and wont do it, but its not cool to lump everybody in that
pile.

How do you remove all information from your Xbox One console?

i'd like to know how to remove a gamertag as well. i have a friend who downloaded his account onto my system. now i cant figure out to to delete from the fuckin console.

Explain like I'm 5: What are the differences between sharing games on xbox 1 and ps4

and remember you can ONLY change your home console 3 times in one calendar year

Best way to do it is this
give your friend your password, have him log into his xbox with your gamertag and set as home console. Then he can delete your gamertag and you can change your password (in case you don't fully trust him with that)

You can delete the home console gamertag? Wouldn't that remove the ability to share games?

Hello There StarryTulip2253 You are going to have to take this up at 09 - Xbox 360 Account Suspensions & Console Bans they deal with Inquiries about account suspensions, forced Gamertag changes, console bans, and other enforcement actions.

There is nothing We can do about it here.

Here are some Examples of inappropriate Gamertags include names that visually resemble, sound like, represent, hint at, abbreviate, or insinuate any of the following:

Profane words or phrases

Topics or content of a sexual nature

Hate speech (including but not limited to racial, ethnic, or religious slurs)

Unlawful drugs or controlled substances

Unlawful activities

Thought this will help you avoid violating the Xbox Live Code of Conduct and Xbox.com Terms of Use when choosing

That gamertag was in violation. It was issued a Forced Name Change to what you have now. If you want a new name, it's $10.

There is no way to delete a gamer tag. You can pay to have it changed, but deleting the Microsoft Account will not delete the associated gamer tag and will only make that gamer tag inaccessible since there will no longer be a supporting Microsoft account.
