Hello,

You should visit the enforcement forums. No one on this forum can assist you in getting your gamer tag unbanned, or help getting the charge waived.

No idea why your gamer tag got force changed but I do know the enforcement team do look.at all complaints and deal with every case carefully. If it violated the code of conduct in any way while being a personalised gamer tag, action would be taken.

My gamertag was determined to be inappropriate so my gamertag got changed to an automated one. I went to see if i could change it to something of choice but it says i need to pa $10 for this. I find this odd since MY gamertag was banned, I should be able
to change it to something else instead of having to pay for it. I didn't choose to have my gamertag removed so its only right that i should be able to personalize it without a charge

It doesn't matter how long you have the tag, if it violates the code of conduct they will give a forced name change.

you used to be able to change it for free, the system would not let you on Live unless you changed it. too many people abused it by creating names just as bad or worse. So now if you have a name against the rules they change it for you and you have to
pay to change it, there are no more free name changes sorry.

What was your other gamertag? Also, if a large enough number of people have reported your other gamertag it will get flagged and reviewed. If deemed inappropriate it will be changed and locked.

It's actually not a good idea to post the gamertag here if it was deemed inappropriate.

I have 7 years on this gamertag, but it's actually 11/12 years. Had a few problems back then due to my choice of gamertag being deemed inappropriate, they kept forcing it to be changed (to which I just used another variation) until somehow the account was
blocked. Right at the beginning some of the gamertags were hilarious.
