    My gamertag was changed.


    My gamertag was changed without me knowing or giving promising to do so, and now I all want is to get it changed to what it was. I don't think I should have to pay for a gamertag change when I didn't change it the first time, I have called Xbox about this
    twice and all they would tell me is to get on here any help would be great thanks.

    Apparently my gamertag has been changed due to the fact that it said it violated the terms, but when I made the gamertag about a year ago it wasn't a problem and now you want me to pay for a new one? That's crazy! I should not have to pay for a new gt if
    it was fine a year ago I have had nothing but problems with xbox since I got it and the xbox support doesn't seem to help either.

    The rules has always been the same.

    It just took that long for someone to report it

    Unlike xbox if psn find your name offences someone they ban your account so Nk keep it clean it's not rocket science

    The tag on the profile you are posting with is not a gamertag you would get as a result of a forced name change.

    If you are talking about a different profile then the only way to change it is by paying.

    When you start your xbox live account you agree to the ToC/CoC which gives Microsoft permission to change your tag if it breaks the rules.

    That's the thing they didn't do it and it shows 2 times it was changed and no charge and no record of it being a forced change they told me to get on here and post and that their conflict team would get the post and be the ones to help me fix it.

    No such thing as a conflict team.

    Only thing you can do is contact support
    support.xbox.com/.../contact-us     & ask to open an unautherised access case if you think your profile has been compromised.

    You do get one free change when you start an account from the generated name to a personal one within 30 days.

    Paid to change my name 7.99 . Then the change isnt acceptable so my gamertag gets changed to a random one , can i have a refund or another channge for free

    You need to post here
    forums.xbox.com/.../41.aspx     to find out what part of the code of conduct your tag violated.

    You will not get a refund nor will you get a free name change.

    In future it's always best to start your own thread.

    Unable to change gamertag

    I'm trying to change my classic gamertag which is the one you see in games. My classic gamertag got changed and my Xbox One and Xbox App gamertag stayed the same (the Xbox One gamertag is the ones they added with the new gamertag system).

    My Xbox One gamertag is different to my in-game gamertag and I want my classic gamertag to be changed. You can only change your classic gamertag on the Xbox One console, I have tried using the other ways and you can only change your Xbox Gamertag, not your
    classic gamertag.

    The reason I want to change my classic gamertag is that the classic gamertag can be fifteen characters and the Xbox One gamertag can only be 12 characters. If I use the other ways to change my gamertag it limits me to 12 characters and sets both my gamertags
    to that.

    On xbox.com it says my gamertag is what i changed it to. But on xbox it shows my changed gamertag in games, but when i go to my profile it shows my old gamertag and right under it it shows the gamertag i did change it to.
