My gamertag was changed!

Apparently my gamertag has been changed due to the fact that it said it violated the terms, but when I made the gamertag about a year ago it wasn't a problem and now you want me to pay for a new one? That's crazy! I should not have to pay for a new gt if
it was fine a year ago I have had nothing but problems with xbox since I got it and the xbox support doesn't seem to help either.

My Gamertag was changed

The rules has always been the same.

It just took that long for someone to report it

Unlike xbox if psn find your name offences someone they ban your account so Nk keep it clean it's not rocket science

Changed my gamertag

Well of course I wouldnt pick another profane name. That being said, i think it's pretty ridiculous I've had the name for over 2 years and now that 360 is phasing out people became over-zealous. I would atleast like to be able to change it to something I
would like.

There is no time limit on when the PET enforce an action. If your tag, at the time, violated the ToU and CoC of the Live service then it would have eventually gotten changed. You would need to pay to have a new tag added to your account.

I'm trying to change my classic gamertag which is the one you see in games. My classic gamertag got changed and my Xbox One and Xbox App gamertag stayed the same (the Xbox One gamertag is the ones they added with the new gamertag system).

My Xbox One gamertag is different to my in-game gamertag and I want my classic gamertag to be changed. You can only change your classic gamertag on the Xbox One console, I have tried using the other ways and you can only change your Xbox Gamertag, not your
classic gamertag.

The reason I want to change my classic gamertag is that the classic gamertag can be fifteen characters and the Xbox One gamertag can only be 12 characters. If I use the other ways to change my gamertag it limits me to 12 characters and sets both my gamertags
to that.

On xbox.com it says my gamertag is what i changed it to. But on xbox it shows my changed gamertag in games, but when i go to my profile it shows my old gamertag and right under it it shows the gamertag i did change it to.

So you said I can change my classic gamertag. How do I change that after already changing my gamertag or do I have to change my entire gamertag again to change the classic one?

Yes, changing the gamertag again should be possible, als changing back to your previous Gamertag is possible, as long as your original Gamertag isn't already taken by somebody else.

Keep in mind each change will require a payment.
