My Gamertag Issue with DEATH DELlVERED

That's how my gamertag is supposed to show up. But when I play my games (especially Halo) it shows up as .

DELLVERED? What is a DELLVERED??? Admittedly, when I typed in DEATH DELIVERED, two days ago with a capital "I", it was taken. So using all the brain power I could muster, I decided to switch it with a lowercase "L". It was perfect.
It looked exactly like ......until I started playing my games.

I'm a simple man. All I want is for my gamertag to show up in games the way it does on the Xbox dashboard. Well....and world domination. But I think I can only get away with one of those for right now.

My demands are simple. I request a free gamertag change as I was not made aware that my gamertag would not show up the way it did on the dashboard as it does on the games. This would be in your best interest, for if you fail to comply with these
demands, I will bring down the full weight of the court system upon you.

Well......I won't do that. But you will lose my respect and support.

I have been thoroughly impressed with your customer service thus far. So what do you think, can we work something out? I don't want to be a DELLVERED. I just want a bad *** name.

An issue with my Gamertag

Greetings, Airmail. Thanks for coming to us with your question. We'll get to the bottom of this. First, you mentioned in your post that this only happens in Halo Reach and Battlefield 3. It seems like this could be due to profanity filters specific to the
titles themselves. If you can send me a screenshot of each error message I'd be happy to look into it. Let me know if you have any questions.

 

An issue with my Gamertag

I have been having this problem for over a year now. It really only effects me in Halo: Reach and Battlefield 3.

My GamerTag is considered an inappropriate word.. according to Microsoft. However, I honestly have no idea how Airmail is considered offensive. Ill provide two examples.

In Halo: Reach, they have an option where you can save game footage, screenshots and custom content to your fileshare. In these files, your name is automatically tagged. Each file I would attempt to upload would come back with the message "File has a word
of phrase banned by Xbox Live" or something along those lines. Each time I would change everything I possibly could, still it wouldn't work, the only thing left was my GamerTag

In Battlefield 3, I am trying to set up the description for my Rent-A-Server and had my GamerTag (Airmail) in it. Again, it said the description contained a profanity word. So I took out my GamerTag and poof, no more profanity words.

I honestly have no idea how to fix this or even who to ask to fix this... And there is no way I am changing my GamerTag, Airmail is just way to cool.

 

Unfortunately I am not positive about how each game maker servers will display the name in question. Sounds like in this case it capitalizes the small case l. And again unfortunately Enforcement are the only people who can perform a forced name change and
only if it violates the TOU/TOC which yours does not.

Enforcement does not ever read this forum so you are pretty much stuck with this name unless you pay the 10 dollars.

I've already made an appeal to "Enforcement". I was just told that I had to post on the forums in addition, for whatever reason. So here I am. On the forums. Waiting for my email.

 

Where did you make an appeal to Enforcement? On the Enforcement forums or?

 

No. I had a chat with an xbox representative and he put in an appeal on my behalf.

 

Good luck then. Normally Support has no interaction with Enforcement other than filing UA reports (Unauthorized Access). Just did not want you holding your breath too long!

Unfortunately, you will not be given a free gamertag change. If you'd like to change it, you'll need to pay the fee. It's not their fault that your gamertag doesn't show up the way you'd like it to in a game. That does not warrant a free change. Nothing
does, actually.

 

Unfortunately it is partially their fault. They charge $10.00 for a gamertag change, knowing full well, it might show up differently in the games. There was no warning. Had I known, I would have selected something else.

If you're going to charge someone to change their gamertag, then you should also inform that person of what they might be buying beforehand. They did not.

I was told I will receive an email. Not a message on this feed. Until I receive an answer directly from them, I won't be taking the word of someone who doesn't have the authority to answer on their behalf. Thanks anyway, xTye.

 

Again, it will NOT happen. The fee is in place for a reason. It is not their fault at all. You're not going to get a free name change. You can wait for an official answer all you want...I guarantee you I'm 100% right.

 

I already payed for a name change. I got ripped off. That is exactly where you and I differ. It's easy to criticize when you didn't throw $10.00 down a hole, possibly $20.00.

You should try wishing me luck instead of treating someone that you don't even know, with contempt.

I'm not asking for much from the almighty Microsoft. They give away "free" changes at the beginning of everyone's account anyway. A name change does not cost them anything, and if it does, it certainly isn't that much of an issue considering they would
be guaranteeing my continued loyalty.

You make it sound like I'm trying to get a free console or something. Calm down, and please quit acting like a know it all. I would hope we're all adults here. There isn't really a need to spread such negativity.

 

your answer will be "we have investigated your request. fortunatly for you there is a way you can change your gamertag, simply ~insert dashboard instructions here~ and change your name. there is a fee associated with changing your gamertag."

you have chosen your name, it does not violate tou and coc, it will neither be changed to a random one nor will you recieve a free change of your choice.

 

Sorry but xTye is not acting like a "know it all", he's given you the correct answer to your question,the enforcement team will not contact you.

I suspect you were just told that they would & to post on the forums as the customer support rep couldn't help you,they do that a lot.

As mentioned,your gamertag does not violate the code of conduct therefore if you want to change it then you will have to pay.
