    My Gamertag isn't the same in all areas


    Howdy,

    I recently changed my Gamer Tag. It is showing in some areas as the new one, some as the old: For example, on my new Xbox One X it shows as my old when I login, but shows as my new one when I am in a game. Gamebar shows my old and new one at the same time,
    plus the April update email showed my old one.

    When you search for my old one, it doesn't appear.

    It's been over a week now, as I was advised to wait up to 48 hours for it to take full effect.

    What can I do? My Gamertag isn't the same in all areas :)

    The top one is my old, bottom is new, it's showing like this on Game Bar. ProtoFoe#3232 is how it shows as my sign in for Xbox, but ItsProtoFoe in games. When I changed it from a previous to ProtoFoe#3232 it didn't show as my old tag, it moved to the new
    one - same with Game Bar, that only showed one Gamer Tag, not two like now.

    I understand there is delays due to the new ways of working etc. I won't ever be ungrateful or demand it be fixed. I am more confused as to why it's showing as two different ones in different areas, when the last time it changed, it didn't do this.

    Only if you have a gamertag with a suffix or special characters. If you have a unique gamertag that no one else has using standard characters, it'll show the same in all areas.
