My gamertag is not allowed?

could be the issue that in the process the word contains something that is against the codes. With the whole word I could not see that. But it could be a combination of letters that are the issue. To be honest there are none I could think of. I remember
that it had this issue with my location in the profile back in the days. There I wasn´t able to enter my Citys name. It took a while and finally I was able to set it up correct. So Maybe you just have to wait a bit and try it again.

You and me both. I keep wondering about it. Worst part, is I have seen a LOT worse Gamertags on Xbox. And I mean a lot worse.

Now when I change my gamertag, I will not have the hashtag followed by numbers, right?

It is weird, however, that I could put ‘Akuma’ and that is Japanese for ‘Devil/Demon’ whereas ‘Akumu’ only means ‘Nightmare’. 😐

Yes. I am getting that error. It keeps popping up. But only the ‘Akumu’ part. Tsusuno is fine. Akumu is not. I really want to change my gamertag to that. But with it popping with an error. Just I don’t know.
