    Forced Gamertag Change

    Hi,

    a bit over a week ago I had my gamertag reported and changed. I put in an appeal and the decision has since been over turned. I was wondering if anyone knew how long it will take for my gamertag to revert to what it was, or if there was anything further
    I had to do

    I changed my gamertag to "tosya" thinking that it would be "tosya" in-game, but it's "tosya7641" instead. I thought that the number would only be for adding a friend etc. like how it is in Discord. I wasn't informed that I would not have the gamertag
    i picked. If I knew that I would have picked a different gamertag. I want to either change only my classic gamertag without paying for a gamertag change, or revert to my old gamertag.
    The only way to change it would be to pay for it again. Unfortunately.

    If the xbox game dose not support the new gamer tag it will put numbers in your gamertag

    So my friend and I were messing around and he changed my gamertag without me knowing as a prank. Unfortunately, neither of us knew we would have to pay to switch it back. I need to know if I can change it back without having to pay the 10 dollars.
    If anyone can help, please do. I'm really stuck and in a bit of a hole since now, none of my online friends recognize me.

    Unfortunately, the free gamertag change is only a one time thing. In order to change your gamertag again, you now have to pay.

    No no one changed it for me. I was on my Xbox checking for availability of gamer tags and as I clicked yes the gamertag changed without charge and i was not intending of changing just checking for names since i was bored. I called Xbox support and they
    can see on their screen as well that my gamertag has changed but i was not charged for this.
