Discus and support my gamertag has been changed without any reason in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; The name of my account has been changed without any reason and the argument was that my name is insulting and I am not doing that.     my gamertag has been changed without any reason


    The name of my account has been changed without any reason and the argument was that my name is insulting and I am not doing that. Can you help me regain my old name?

    i wasn't notified that my gamertag was deemed offensive or inappropriate, it was just changed. And when i brought this issue to Xbox, they told me there was no link between my old gamertag and my email. So they pretty much said I had from
    the start.

    I wasn't offered a chance to change it either, its just giving me the option to pay for a tag change

    Hey there, FlatJoey. Any references to something sexual in nature, drugs, violence, or anything else in the CoC, even if it's not explicitly saying any of those things, are against the CoC and will be removed from the service. If you receive 1 report on
    that account, a forced gamertag change may happen. These reports are reviewed by humans daily, and are rarely reversed.

    Forced gamertag changes used to be free, however that was changed several years ago to where users now need to pay to be able to get a new gamertag. It was found that users were being abusive of this and if you would like to get a new gamertag, you will
    need to pay for it.

    Hopefully that explains it better for you. If you need assistance with any other support issue, please post up a new thread detailing what you're running into and troubleshooting you've completed. This way our community can get you the individual support

    The enforcement team only handles GT change or paying for a change thru the system.

    You case sounds like unbelievable if I may ask what was your GT that got banned?

    I'm going to be honest, maybe your gamertag has been changed for one of the two reasons:

    1. Maybe someone changed it without your knowledge

    2. Maybe there was something in your gamertag that was inappropriate

    In any case, once the gamertag has been changed is not possible to undo this change (no one can do it)
    You can try changing the gamertag again to see if the old is still available .
    Here we can only guess, no one can give you the exact reason about why your gamertag was changed
