    My Gamertag has been changed for being inappropriate


    I have had this gamertag for about 5 years and never ran into any issues. It has now been changed to a randomly generated gamertag and I would like to change it for free. I don't think it is fair to have my gamertag changed to one I don't like and have to
    pay money for a new one.

    My current gamertag is: CleverBunny9147

    My old gamertag was: [Mod removed]

    Again I do not mind changing it to a more appropriate gamertag so long as I do not have to pay.

    As of December 29 2014 my Gamertag has been changed due to it being deemed inappropriate. I dont understand why it was changed after I've been using it and being fairly active on the account for the past year and a bit. Anyways the main issue is the fact

    Gamertag changed by itself?

    Not sure whats going on but about an hour ago my gamertag seemed to have changed on its own, since than ive changed my password for my account. My gamertag may have been mildly inappropriate so could microsoft changed my account on their end? i dont believe
    i was hacked seeing as nothing else has changed on my account.

    If you dont like the new name you will have to pay for a new name as per the terms of use

    Thete is no free name change and you should take it as a lesson

    No other console gives you a second chance

    A bad name on any other console = instant ban not a name change

    Also some other gamez charge more then 10 bucks like wow which is 25 bucks

    This gamertag isn't allowed. Try a different one.

    I'm sorry, once a gamertag has been flagged for being inappropriate by the system, there's no way around it sadly.

    if your gamertag has been changed without you changing it, it means it broke code of conduct and was changed by the enforcement team as it was redeemed inappropriate

    The new gamertag was a result of your account being issued a Forced Name Change due to having an inappropriate gamertag. If the password was changed, how are you logging in?

    I assume that "Anil" was the violation because it contained my name. It would have been nice to that was the reason because it used my name. They should not have allowed me to do that if it was a violation. Also, the email saying my gamertag has been
    changed should have contained some indication of my NEW gamertag as you indicated I went into a old account because It was NOT made clear of what the new gamertag was.
