My Gamertag got changed..

Ok... So i woke up this morning and my gamertag was changed?. I believe this is because a group of friends on Xbox reported me and we didn't get on. Could i please get a free gamertag change as this is not my fault :/

Me and my friends all made account named ShatOnMeHat, ShatOnMeCat, e.c.t

Did not even get an email or anything but when i logged on with all my friends (Who Kept Their names) my'n got changed to and it costs £8 to change and i cant even change it back to what it was

You would have to just change it again. You will have to pay for another change so I'd get your brother to pay for it.

 

Sounds like you got a Forced Name Change on your gamertag. If this happened it is because your tag was reported for being against the ToU and CoC of the Live service. If this happened and you wish to change your name again you will need to pay the $10
fee.

It does not matter if you and your "friends" get along or not if your name was reported then it was reported also they would only change it if it was found in violation of the terms of use

there is no free gamertag Change with the only exception it is randomly changed because it violated the Terms of use - which in your case seems to be the reason. it doesnt matter how many reports there were, a single one may be enough if a Violation is detected.

a gamertag must be Chosen to comply with Rating e for everyone, no bad language or lookalikes allows, neither using shortforms or numbers instead of letters.

 

Iv had the same gamertag for ages. and then you randomly change it. so everyone liked my gamertag and one person disagrees you change it. and then expect me to pay money.. i should get a free change!.

 

you are not expected to pay Money, but you wont get a free Change neither.

you can either Chose to Keep your current gt, or you can Chose to purchase a Name Change.

 

but why should i? all because one person had a problem with it. id keep this gt if i didnt have all the numbers!

 

one Person felt offended, your gamertag violated the Terms of use, your Name was changed, thats all
