My gamerscore got tampered with

I like to play the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: World at War occasionally. And sometimes, I witness some really weird stuff happening. Players flying around, new things appearing in the environment, the ability to carry all weapons, wave number altered,
bad language appearing on the screen in red... I tried not to pay attention to it much...until today. When the game started, I quickly realized I had been put together with one of those players who had found a way to manipulate the game somehow. The usual
bizarre stuff started happening. It went on for a minute or two. Then a suspicious message appeared on the screen..."unlocking achievements". A few seconds later, the match crashed. When I checked my gamerscore, 1000+ had been added to it. I don't care about
gamerscore much, but free gamerscore seems to be against terms. I don't want to get in trouble for something I didn't ask for. So I came here for help. What should I do? Is this forum enough or do I need to contact support? If yes, how do I do so? Reduce my
gamerscore, reset it, doesn't matter. I just don't want this hacked gamerscore on my account.

Gamerscore Tampering/Account Tampering

Hi,

I recently got my gamerscore tampered with by another player on XBL

The game the player gave me tampered achievements for is Black Ops 2

[Can't show gamertag for privacy reasons]

My original gamerscore was 9642 and he changed/boosted it up to 10467 basically giving me 820g

I would like for Xbox/Microsoft to please remove the 820g added to my gamerscore OR revert my gamerscore to 9642 like it was before i played Bo2

EDIT:He also gave me 41 achievements that i did not want

My Gamerscore

Both Halo 3 & GTA V (360 version) have modded achievements on them so someone tampered with your Gamerscore.

Playing in modded lobbies is a bannable offence so chances are your account might get banned anyway.

If not there's nothing you can do about the gamerscore.It will get reset eventually which means you loose all your gamerscore & will not be able to re earn them again on that profile.

In future,if you suspect your in a modded lobby quit the game straight away by going straight to the dashboard by using the guide button on your controller.

 

So I might get banned for something I didn't want anything to do with? I'm just trying to enjoy the game, but it's becoming harder and harder to get into a game without those modders. I've moved on to a newer version. No suspicious people there.

I don't care about gamerscore or achievements. For me, they are not part of the experience. I just about care about playing the games and having fun. So they can do whatever they want with it.

Is there any way I can inform Microsoft about this by myself? I don't want to sit on my ***, waiting for something to happen. I'd like to be able to at least explain the situation, before they do more than just reset my gamerscore.

 

You would have to have someone file a complaint on your account via the console. That is the only way to have the enforcement team investigate it. They are the only ones who handle resets/suspensions/bannings. There is no other way to contact them to explain
anything. They would investigate your account and it would be up to them as to whether you would just get a gamerscore reset or if your account would be banned.

 

How active is this forum anyway? I could use directions to a forum that is able to answer my questions.

 

The enforcement team only respond to the suspensions/bannings forums and they are only there to tell people why they have had action taken against them. It is not possible to contact them for questions like this.

 

Ah, thanks, Smwutches. I've contacted Microsoft before, though. But don't remember how or where. Got a different problem taken care of. I thought I could contact them again and tell them, "Hey, my gamerscore has been hacked and I did not do it. Could I ask
you to kindly take a look at my account and solve the problem in a proper manner?" I don't care about my gamerscore getting removed, I would just like to keep playing on my account.

One more question. Will my account be left alone by Microsoft if I stop using it? I think I'm going to make a new gamertag because this stinks. But I've made a lot of purchases on this account, so I think I'll need to have access to it still.

 

No one would be able to tell you that exactly. If you stop using it then it'll be less likely that someone would file a complaint on it and anything happen to it, but there is always a possibility that the enforcement team could still find and it do something.

 

Well, as long as it doesn't get suspended or banned or something like that... I should at least be able to have access to all the stuff I paid for.
