My gamer tag is not allowed

If the system tells you that gamertag isn't allowed, then there are specific reasons why it's not allowed. Most likely this issue is due to any words that can possibly be identified as offensive or maybe it's a slang term in a different language, or some other reason why Microsoft blocked that name.

You would have to choose a different one. Try using a different word or a different combination of words.

The only thing I can think of is cxm is too close to c*m it's the 1st letter of my kids names they should have a way to appeal it to explaine and or at least get a real answer why

There are multiple reasons as to why you're experiencing this issue with your preferred gamertag. If it doesn't meet the requirements you will get that message and will need to pick a different one. It's also possible that the gamertag is linked to a banned account which is why it is coming up as not allowed.

The gamertag system is an automated system and there is no manual review of gamertags. If the system is not letting you use this gamertag, unfortunately there is no way around it. I'm really sorry about this.

Bear in mind that Social Media websites have less stringent rules regarding usernames than Xbox/Microsoft do...so whilst a username may be allowed on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc, it may fall foul of the more strict rules on Xbox
