My gamepad is connected to my PC but it doesn't work

Hello

I have a problem

My gamepad is connected to my PC but it doesn't work (gamepad recognize as Xbox 360 Controller)

It won't accept any input from the sticks or buttons

If I move my mouse and make it change to keyboardb+mouse, it switches the UI and it even switches back to gamepad but it still won't accept input

I've tried to use another usb slot but still doesn't work

But when i try to plug my gamepad into usb-c slot with otg, it work really well

I dont think it's because the usb slot is broken or error because it still work as well with another peripherals like mouse, keyboard, flashdisk, harddisk, etc.

Is it because the driver or what ?

Well it work, but one hour later it doesn't work again

I tried to uninstall usb driver and Microsoft Gameinput too, but the result still same

My gamepad is Xbox 360 controller

My other PC with Windows 10 works perfect

Is it because Xbox 360 controller doesn't support on Windows 11 ?

Have you observed if your controller works fine even if it's used or connected more than an hour from a different PC? I believe that the issue is with your USB ports or drivers from your other PC.

To further isolate the issue, try to plug in other USB devices like USB flash drive or keyboard & mouse if they perform normally when connected to USB ports of the PC that has the issue.

What exactly is your gamepad or controller model?

Please go to the Device manager by searching it from your Start menu search bar. Once you are in that window, reinsert your gamepad so you can identify its driver. Once you found it, right-click and uninstall it. Restart your computer and plug in your controller back then wait for the driver to be installed automatically.
