    The error code 0x8d100042 for super mega baseball and it won't let me play it. All my other games work except for this one.

  3. Won't let me play my game

    I am trying to play my game and it keeps telling me that the purchaser has to be signed in to play. I am the purchaser of both the game and the xbox. I bought it brand new with the game from Best Buy. This is the first time that this has happened but it
    doesn't seem to be correcting itself. I have been trying for hours. Xbox seems to have the worst customer support I have ever seen. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get human support whatsoever which is RIDICULOUS for a company as big as Microsoft.

    I would like to suggest the following potential solutions:

    A.
    Step 1. Remove the affected profile from your Xbox.

    Step 2. Connect your Xbox to a different Wi-Fi network, like a mobile hotspot.

    Step 3. Re-add your profile and try playing games.

    Make sure to know your credentials before removing your profile.

    B.
    Step 1. Disconnect your console from the internet.

    Step 2.
    Perform a physical power cycle on your Xbox:

    Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

    Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

    If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps.
    Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

    Important: If your console is in Sleep mode, the above steps will shut the console off completely. Sleep mode, or the ability to turn on your console by saying “Xbox on,” won't be enabled until you restart the console.

    Won't let me play games

    Hey there Hammer!

    I'm sorry to hear about the issue. If you haven't yet, start by
    power cycling
    your console. This can often cause a lot of quirks that may pop up to go away. The next thing you'll want to check is to make sure that your console is fully updated. You can check by going to
    Settings then scrolling down to System and over to
    Updates. If your console has an update pending, you'll want to go ahead and download and install it.

    If it's totally updated, I would recommend going over to Console info and

    factory resetting
    the console. You can keep any games and apps when you do this so start with that.

    Hopefully one of those does the trick but if not, post back and let us know when you're running into this issue in particular. Good luck!

    via phone or chat to verify that the purchase was indeed on this account. Sometimes purchases can be made on a different account on the same console, and that account might revoke their Home console without others knowing. This is the best way
    to confirm your purchase.
