My game stops installing

are you sure the disc is not scratched or something like that? have you tried power cycling your xbox ?

Similar to the previous answer, it is normally recommended to do a hard reset on your Xbox and definitely check the disc. I have had the hard reset fix the issue once but other times it was due to the disc being scratched.

Having a similar issue. I've stopped the installation, powered down the console, switched it back on, but my game says "queued" first and then the installation stops. Ideas?

This didn't help install the 9GB of base game, it still stops at 5.9GB, if you need more detail, this is a copy that I had gotten in some time 2019. The base game is having an issue with installation, it stops at 5.9GB, everything else is installing at this point. When I download the game, I tried updating and installing, and updating later, no matter what the game stops installing at 5.9GB, I can also hear the disc stop spinning as soon as it gets to that point. It says "installation stopped" and when I try to keep it installing, it doesn't do anything, it seems to be an issue with either my Xbox or the base game itself. It also seems to be just modern warfare that is having this problem, vanguard and Cold war work fine, it's just the base 9.18GB base game that stops.
