    My game isn't starting up


    I try to start my game ( for honor) it comes up with "an error occurred during system update" but I haven't got a system update I've restarted my console nothing changes if someone know's how to fix it that'll be great thanks in advance.

    starting up games

    hi there i wonder if you could help me iv'e just started up my xbox and iv'e just tried starting up a game and it says "due you own this game or app" and i don't know what to due if you could give me any advice that would be grate thanks

    Hey Jordylad06,

    Have you tried possibly just quitting the game with the start button? Also have you done a hard system reset on your console? You can do this by going into the system settings. The last thing I would suggest is uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Hope

    For the hard reset, it will be called "Full Shutdown" in the System Settings or you can start by having the console on and holding the power button for a full 10 seconds which will turn the console off. Then restart the console. Sometimes a system update
    is pending or finishing the install and your power button will flash. You will not be able to start a game until this completes.

    Do a Power Cicle on your Xbox, press and hold Power Button for 10 seconds and wait 2 minutes then turn Xbox on again, If It doesn't work so unistall the game and Install It again.

    Hey Jordylad06,

    Hi and thanks for reaching out. I hope you’re doing well. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be happy to help you.

    Kindly try clearing your console's cache by following the steps below;

    1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

    Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    3. Plug the console power cable back in.

    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

    If it still doesn't work, try to refresh your operating system and delete all potentially corrupted data that restricts you from using your console normally without deleting your games or apps.​​​​​​​

    Note: Make sure that you know your account logins before doing this step. Also, this will remove all your Home Xbox associations.

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    2. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info > Reset console.

    3. On the Reset your console? screen, you'll select Reset and keep my games & apps.
