my game disc stops installing once it hits 40%

hi, I'm having trouble with installing cod ghost. While installing ghost it stops the installation once it reaches 40%. I've tried restarting my WiFi, doing a hard reset, clearing the persistent storage and performing a hard reset, uninstalling the blueray
then soft restart and reinstalling the blueray and still end up with it stopping at 40%. All my other hard copies work just fine. If I could get some help id be grateful.

Install issues for Gta 5 0x87e00064

I've borrowed Gta 5 from a mate that always installs to 40% then stops with the error code 0x87e00064. I've tried reinstalling, installing offline, installing something else, deleting-powercycling-installing off/online and even cleaning the disc but every
time it's 40%. Looked online and there doesn't seem to be a fix beyond getting the disc changed but that's not really an option and it works on his machine fine. Only time I've had this problem. Any suggestions?

Hey there Captain!

Have you tried taking your console offline and installing the game from the disc there? If that doesn't work, the next step is going to be trying a different game disc. You mention that all your other discs work so it sounds like the issue may be with your
CoD Ghosts disc, specifically.

No, once the HD Texture Pack is installed without any errors you can install the game so it runs from the hard drive, it's the dsc stopping that's causing the problem, the disc doesn't stop if the game isn't installed to the hard drive.

When you installed a game on the 360, the disc would spin briefly to initialize the install. Once that happened, the disc would stop spinning. Not sure how the ONE works but I would ASSUME it is the same way.

It DOESN'T make sense to play without the disc once you've downloaded and installed it. What would stop people from buying their game, installing it, and then returning the game to get their money back?

when installed the disc will spin for no more than a few minutes at start up of the game but then stop and not spin.

if it does keep spinning then the issue could be that the game was installed on that hard drive but on another xbox, all you have to do is use the licence transfer feature to the xbox you are permanently playing the game on, and you also might have to install
the game again. This happened to me with BC2, i moved my hard drive that had BC2 installed on it to another Xbox, the disc kept spinning but once i transferred my licence over and installed the game disc again, it would only spin at the loading start of the
game and then stop after a very few minutes.
