my game controller cannot be configured in windows 11

Hi,

I have old 4 in one flight simulator controller, connected using USB connector. when I try to connect it, windows recognizes it but detects wrongly its buttons.

I have no way to configure it to the correct behavior as it insists that it has different buttons as the controller itself.

it detects it as game controller and not as flight controller ( like RC flight controller).

what should I do?

I used the same controller with older versions with no problems

What exact controller do you have? Does it have the correct drivers installed for Windows?

And does it work fine with other games?

ive heard upgrading to windows 11 fixes it, but my problem with windows 11 is that all of my other games run terribly (extreme lag) because they havent been configured to windows 11 yet. So if that is really a fix, then i dont want that one. All my games run fine normally on windows 10, but they just dont like windows 11 or something

Have you tried to reinstall the Xbox Accessories app? If not yet, please do so.

I suggest as well to power cycle your controller. You could also try using a different USB cable and use different USB port from your computer. Check all the guide from here https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/...

Don't forget to check for your Windows updates and also go to Microsoft Store > Library > Get updates.

If your controller isn't working on other PC running Windows 11 it tells me something is wrong with your controller.

There aren't any compatibility issues with older Xbox 360 controllers and Windows 11. I've just tried my old Xbox 360 wired controller in my brand new Windows 11 based PC and it works fine. The fact that it isn't working now is likely coincidental.
