    My game closed when in standby mode


    Hi Expert,

    Note: Though I selected the "Resident Evil 4 HD", but actually the problem happened on "Resident Evil 0".

    The problem is:

    I shut off my Xbox One in standby mode, and Resident Evil 0 is still running, so after couple of hours later, I turn it on to continue playing the game, but this game is closed. I even didn't save my progress before I left, if my remember is correct, the
    standby mode won't close the game, and its original purpose is to let the players play the game at anytime.

    So it's so weird, is my console setting incorrect? The power setting is energy-saving mode. Thanks.

    xbox one auto update issue'

    when in standby mode how often does the xbox check for new updates' when i put my xbox in standby mode and there a new update it wont check for the update but only download the updates the xbox seen when the xbox was on before i put it back in standby mode'

    If the console is set to "Energy-saving", after 60 minutes of inactivity, the console is turned off. In "Instant-on" mode you have the possibility to keep
    the console, games and apps updated.

    So, even in "Instant-on" mode, when my Xbox gets updated, the game still will be closed, right?

    So In case the console gets updated, I need to close the auto update feature for the Xbox One. It should be updated manually.

    As DominumStige mentioned when in energy saving mode the console only stays in standby for 60 mins then console completely shuts off in order to "save power"

    To allow the console to enter standby for extended periods of time and have this feature function you would need to set the console to

    Instant on mode    .

    Keep in mind that power surges or needed updates can still cause the console to power off in standby mode and thus we would still recommend saving your game progress when you stop playing.

    Post back if you have any follow up questions about changing that setting over!
