My front usb won’t work and I do not know what to do

Hi my username is youngpallad and I have been with Xbox when I was 6. and my Xbox series s has been through a lot and my Xbox had drop 3 times my me tripping on a wire. and on the third time the front usb gave up for the past month I had to use the back ones and I am getting a gaming setup soon and I want to find a way to make it work again so I can add something from it overheating. And for it to work it need one of the back usb’s and they are filled with both my storage that I got from best buy and my controller charger. And I am wanting to know if I should get a new one or try to mostly get it fixed that I do not know which one to choose but I want to know if a can get help with it

my advise would be to stop tripping on the wire, if you have done it 3 times already and not learnt to avoid it or find a way to make it safe then all hope is lost, the usb port will be damaged so you would need to take to a local repair store to have the port replaced. or you could just not use that port.

If the only problem with your console is the front USB ports then it would not warrant buying a new console, but that's just my personal opinion. You can work around the issue by either having your console serviced or by buying a port expansion and plugging it into the back of your console. However, since most of these are 3rd party products you will have to search for them on your own.

It's so you can still charge or use your controller, or plug in other peripherals if needed. As for plugging in another hard drive. It's not advised to do that. Use the USB ports on the Xbox for the external drives.

I've used both SanDisk and PNY with success....until tonight that is, and I'm getting messages saying that my new 32GB PNY does not meet performance standards. That seems pretty odd to me since I've never had a problem with that brand, even though I have
used a PNY that was accidentally put through a washing machine. We'll see if this new one performs alright.
