    my friends Xbox one S crashes every time when try to run Fortnite any fixes?


    my friend's Xbox One S crashes whenever try to run Fortnite (it will work for 2-5 mins before crashing) we have tried almost everything we could find on the Internet to fix this. We have even tried opening it and clearing the dust/debris, making new accounts, clearing lots of data, and even resetting the Xbox to factory state (and lots of other methods as well). when Fortnite crashes, the screen goes black for a second then brings him back to the home screen. in the past we were able to play just fine, however, over the last 3-4 weeks, it has been having this issue. does anyone have any other methods to fix this?

    I'm guessing the SSD is failing and the xbox needs a thermal paste replacement. thanks for the help

    This one is a tough one and I'm not sure how much we'd be able to help here as you mentioned that you opened the console up. We are not allowed to discuss self repair on the forums here. However, what I can at least suggest here would be to see if your local gaming store offers a repair service. They may be able to determine the problem and fix it for you.

    It sounds like a hardware error specifically and anything we could have suggested up to the factory reset you'd already tried.
