My friends list vanished.

So I was playing Destiny 2, and the game bugged out forcing me to restart my Xbox one X. Everything fixed after the restart, but my friends list vanished. I have over 100 friends, but it says I have zero. If I look at my list with the app, my list is
there. If I look at my profile, and look at friends, my list is there. If I'm playing a game like Destiny 2 or Black Ops 4 and look at my friends list via the game, it says they are there. If a preferred friend pops online, I still get the notification.
So my friends list is still there, it just isn't showing me my list from the Xbox One X friends menu. It's a pain, because in order to invite friends to games or party's, or to see who's online I have to go through alternative methods. I have rebooted,
and hard booted my Xbox. Unplugged it for 10 minutes, restarted my router. My Xbox One X has the latest updates installed. It has been four days now, and the problem doesn't seem as though it is going to correct itself. Like I said before, my friends list
is there and intact, I just can't see it when looking at my friends list when using the 'home' button.

Xbox Friends List Issues

My friends list wasn't updating then all of a sudden it ninja vanished. When I look at people's profiles it says I still have them added but nobody shows on my friends list. I was told this was a regional issue and I'm wondering when it will get fixed.

 

friends still not back in friends list....

This is really getting aggravating I had a ton of friends in my friends list now after this prob they had they have all vanished and I can't send any of the friends I had a new request....... ugh!

 

have you tried redownloading your profile?

 

Just tried it. Same result. Still no go on the friends list, all other sources still show everything is A-Okay.

Thanks for reaching out to us! We understand this can be confusing and frustrating since the friends list
is not showing up properly on the Xbox One X. I would suggest trying a Soft
Factory Reset since the reboot and hard boot did not help. Also, thanks for checking on the router as well as updates to the console.




Generally when this happens, it could be the operating system is having some technical difficulties since the list
is viewable on other devices.





Side Note:
It is
very important to make sure you know the primary email/password to the account before removing
it from the console.



To check the email being used with the gamertag, go to
Settings > Account > sign-in, security & passkey;
in middle column at the top it will say "show on home"
if it is checked it will rotate from gamertag and email on homepage. If it is not check marked, it will show in this box.
