My friends list is stuck

To check if it's an issue with a specific account or the console, do you have a different account that you own that you can check?

I apologize but in this case, we have performed all the necessary steps and it seems like Xbox Support may need to check this further for you.

Earlier i was able to remove and add someone and they would appear on my friends list, didn't check if it would stay after signing out, but now if i try to remove someone it just changes to add friend then when i go back on their profile it still says change friendship.

Do you have a different network connection that we can try to use such as a mobile hotspot? If yes, we may need to try it out.

You have performed all the necessary steps. Kindly perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

" 1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state."
