    Yesterday I was in middle of a game of smite with some friends when my headset mic audio stopped being pick up by the party.

    I had test my network connection that same day and it said that some Xbox Live Services where down: communication and social. So I decided to wait until tomorrow and it's still not working despite all Xbox Live Services being up.

    My profile pic in the party wasn't greyed out, I went to the audio tab and the headset mic was not muted, headset volume and chat mixer was we're all fine.

    I check to make sure my headset was plugged in and wasn't muted on the headset but for some reason they still couldn't hear me.

    I'm not Communications banned and account privacy settings for communication multiplayer are all allowed or set to everybody.

    I also try it resetting my Xbox, and tried guides on troubleshooting forms nothing has worked.

    I've tried two separate controllers and they both have the same issue even tried a different headset using both controllers and checked the devices and accessories for firmware updates there are none available.

    Both headset work fine on my phone including the mics.

    Both controllers are on Firmware version 4.8.1923.0 and are standard first party controller.

    I tried restarting my Xbox, doing the full shutdown, factory reset, clearing the cache, clearing alternate Mac address, and opening forward ports on my router.

    I'm using a wired connection with a static IP address, and tested my multiplayer connection.

    Chat mixer: do nothing

    I tried xbox forum and most of them ended abruptly with the original poster finding out that they didn't plug their mic into or that their mic was muted or they reset their Xbox and theirs started working.

    Other ones had no responses to them the people complaining the ones that did have responses I tried those... they didn't work.

    I could really use some help, because i'm completely stumped.

    Have you the latest Windows 10 Build available? (Win key + R type winver and check if you are running 1909)

    Have you checked if there are any update on Microsoft Store for this App?

    unfortunately that's a windows issue. Make sure your computer is up to date with all updates security and otherwise. Its definitely not uncommon that you are having this issue. Allot have. Sorry that this is happening to you.

    Hey there LITL CHAGA,

    Sounds like there could be a NAT issue here, please try the steps on
    this guide     to ensure your NAT as well as your friend's is Open and see if that helps.
