Multiplayer with PC & Xbox in the same household

Hello,

I own a gaming PC and an Xbox. They use my same windows account.

Today I bought Sea of Thieves, and I'm excited about the crossplay so that I can play with my kid. One of us on the xbox, the other on the PC. I am told this works fine, but what about the licensing?

Do I need a 2nd license? If so, how can I own two licenses in the same account? How set this up?

4 players with 2 boxes

I have a question. My son and I each have our own xboxs, both at the same residence. We share the same internet/wifi. We also each have out own live accounts so we can play games together. One game we like playing is gears of war 2, horde. However, we
have friends coming over and we want to play all 4 of us at the same time. They don't have their own live accounts. I was reading about system link but I don't understand how to set it up or what I'll need. Is it possible to do 2 player split screen on each
xbox and use system link so we can all play horde together? Thank you

Each platform and can play on there own servers on certain games. This is one such case. Since you own the gta 5 on xbox you can play it on xbox. But not pc since that's a different platform

I dont own many games that are multiplayer that my other friends own. We typically only play ark as we have the other games on pc. So no, those are the only 3 games we have in common on xbox

As much as I love my xbox, I also own a PS4. Most of my friends play xbox so it's an easier choice for me to love it. I still think I choose PC over Xbox just because of all the different mods and things that you can do with the same games that we play
on xbox.

Ark Survival Evolved does allow Cross-play with PC and Xbox consoles. I used my PC to host a dedicated server for about 2 months for me and a bunch of friends to play together on our own server. We all connected to the server from our Xbox consoles. Do you
have the Xbox Console Companion on your PC?

I ran Ark through this program and was able to invite my Xbox friends to it much easier. It also allowed my friends to add the server as a friend and jump in whenever they wanted. If you do not Plan on using the Xbox companion app
on your PC, you can always host your server and give your Xbox friend the server name and password that you create and they can go in to "Join an Ark" then filter the servers shown to quickly find yours and join it.
