    I can't message my friends I went to the supprt page it told me to go to, did the steps even turned the console off then back on, for some reason it didn't work and unsatisfied me with it's help

    My friend can't message me

    That message is referring to an offence your friend made that broke Xbox's Terms of Service.

    He/She has received a communication ban. They can check here to see what the did and how long the ban is.

    That's not technically true. I've had the same problem for about a year now and I've checked everything and my account if fine. I spoke to Xbox directly and they said they don't know what is causing the problem.

    I can't message or join my friends. But they can message me (but I don't receive the message) and they can join me (this was the only way we were able to play together).
