My friend cannot see me connected, and so I can't play with them

Hello

My problem is in the title. I paid for the game pass and download Sea of Thieves so as to play with my friend. But they see me as Offline and can't message me (and I can't message them). Therefore they can't invite me in their game (and I can't invite them).
Just to let you know that it's written ''Online" when I click on my profil.

From what I've seenbXbox has had outages from a couple hours ago. I did see people are starting to connect again is this still occuring?
