My friend blocked me as a joke and now it won’t let me or him add each other anymore….

I was friends with a person and now they are not on my friends list, appear offline to me, and we cannot hear or add each other as friends. We haven't blocked each other either. HELP!

I have the exact same issue with 3 of my friends, they are not on my blocked list and I am not on theirs. I can re add them once they send me a message and vice versa but when we both add each other it will delete him off my friends list once my xbox turns
off and back on and then i have to rinse and repeat to add him again.

Ok, so today (4.9.20) I can't add anybody on my friends list, (I'm on Xbox One) and I've tried from multiple platfroms to try to add my friend back for some reason it made him and me unfriended each other, and now we both can't add each other, and I don't
know what to do about it. So it'd be nice if I could find out how to solve this, because I don't want to have him removed forever (he even told me that he didn't block me and I didn't block him, and it shows an error message everytime I try to add him back).
Also, please let me know if this is happening to anybody else.

Hi there, had same trouble just yesterday, not just on the console but on the companion itself and the website as well... all it took really was some waiting (5-10 minutes), it seemed that I have made too many changes on my account in a very short amount
of time, so all it was basically just a small cooldown. It might be the same for you. Try again in a little while.

So me and my friend played one day and I accidentally blocked comms with him I re did everything so we could talk again but now we can't join each other's party but we can if a another friend is in

My friend deleted me and they wanted to add me back now. But when we send each other friend request it just says pending on our friends list and we don't received each other friend request. We can send each other messages and party/ game invites.... but
for some reason we can't add each other back..
