My fidelity debit card isn't recognized by the Xbox. I can't purchase games. It works okay...

If your Fidelity debit card works on other Xbox accounts but not your son's, the issue lies with the billing address associated with his Microsoft account, not the card itself.

Please make sure the billing address on his account matches the address linked to your card.

It important to verify billing address. To verify this, kindly sign into your son's Microsoft account on the Xbox.

Go to Settings > Account > Payment & billing > Payment options.

Check if the billing address listed matches the address associated with your card.

If incase it doesn't, please update the billing address for them to match.

Please make sure as well that you are typing the correct information from the card in order for it to work smoothly on the account.

The issue isn't on your end. The Xbox game pass can't be purchased with currency. It will need either a debit/credit card or paypal. Just recently Xbox live subscriptions were made available to purchase with currency just not the game pass.

When you say "payment card" do you mean debit / credit card. I already have a debit card tied to my account. I purchased far cry 5 with it a few weeks ago on the Xbox One marketplace (not Xbox 360 since it isn't an Xbox 360 game).

I have also noticed that my issue applies to any game I try to buy on the Xbox 360 marketplace.

I use paypal to purchase my bc games. Debit card will work too.

While the Xbox Billing system is not set up to specifically accept Debit cards, they can work for purchases. I often use my Visa Debit for purchases on Xbox.

Although if a Debit card does not work then there is not much anyone can do, the officially supported methods of payment are Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Paypal.

If you are haveing trouble with a Debit card you could try linking that to a Paypal account and then the Paypal to the Xbox account. Or just use Pre Paid Codes.
