my x box external memory does not light up but hear it running and does not show saved material is it shot or broke ?

Hi mate,

What worked for me was unplugging my external storage then trying to install as I’m not sure if what was on my external storage was interfering with the installation.

Are you trying to install it on internal or external storage? If you have any external storage device please disconnect it, after that power cycle the console and try to install on the internal storage without plugging the external

just to be sure, are the games installed on the internal storage device or an external storage device?

If they are installed on an external storage device, please try and see what happens if the game is installed on the internal storage device and the external storage device is disconnected.

It's not someone accessing your device, this is because your external storage it's losing connection to the console, things to try would be:

1.- try a different USB port on the console for the external storage

2.- try a different USB cable for the external storage

3.- test the external storage trough a Pc
