my external speakers won't play sound on my new monitor?

i just bought two new monitors both new sceptre's 30 inch's i plugged my Xbox into one of them and my pc to the other my pc show theres audio playing in the sound bar but there's no sound coming out of my speakers even when i unplug the aux for the external speakers the monitor speakers don't play any sound either

It is possible that your monitors are not configured to play sound through external speakers.

To check the sound settings of your monitor, please follow these steps:

Open the monitor's setup menu.
Find the sound section.

This problem is with the sound from the X Box One to the monitor speakers (HDMI), replaced monitor and same problem.. Tried external speakers plugged into the monitor and no difference.

Most gaming monitors have no speakers. To get external sound you'll need buy a set of speakers that can be plugged into the headphone socket on the monitor.

What exactly have you plugged your console into?

My guess is you've not connected it to the computer, but rather the PC monitor. Am I right?

If it's the monitor then it likely won't have built in speakers, most don't. If your monitor has no speakers you'll need an adapter and a set of speakers to output sound.

To clarify:

You have a new laptop with built-in speakers

You have a set of external speakers which are plugged into the laptop

The audio won't play through the external speakers and is only being played through the laptop speakers
