    My external hard drive keeps crashing


    So a while ago I bought a 32 gb external hard drive from kesu. It was $32. I can’t find a link to it But I use it for my Xbox one and it has some issues. First it’s actually 300 gb which is cool I guess but the problem is when I’m playing games that are installed on the drive, at random times it quits me out of the game and I get a black notification saying external drive ready like if I just plugged it in. Anyone know how to fix this? Also I have it plugged into one of the 2 ports in the back of the Xbox.

    Sounds like it might be a drive error. Ensure the drive is completely compatible with the console you are using. Sounds to me like the drive may not be able to keep up with the Xbox and is effectively resetting itself.

    I already did that but I thought it was my external hard drive so I copied the game onto my internal hard drive and it’s still on my external hard drive would that be a problem also? Like as soon as I bought it from the play store on the Xbox store may be a day later it was crashing out on me

    Hey ShinobiSword,

    i noticed you have an external hard drive in use with your console, are the games that are crashing installed on your internal or external hard drive?

    if they are on the external drive it may be worth trying to move the install of the game to your internal drive and having another go.

    Sorry for that. Do you have an external hard drive plugged into your console? A corrupted hard drive may cause issues as well such as crashing games.
