    My entire Microsoft account was stolen, and I am not receiving any form of help.


    When Microsoft bought Minecraft, I had to migrate my Minecraft account in order to up the security as well as to continue playing in general. Everything has been perfectly fine for many years; I've gotten hacked in the past before the migration, but this time, I'm dealing with an unfortunately sophisticated hack.

    On February 10th, I got an email saying that my Microsoft email was changed to a random burner email, and that my original email was completely wiped off of it.

    But that's not all. The hacker then changes the email again so that I CANNOT find out what it is, and the only thing that I know about it is this:

    1. I found out that it's on an outlook address, by using the forgot username and putting in the original email.

    2. The email is literally the longest email address I have EVER seen in my life. The only reason I even know what a portion of the updated email looks like, is that the Minecraft launcher cached the updated one since I was logged into my account on the launcher, and every time I tried to open the launcher, I was met with the image attached.

    Obviously, I contacted Microsoft Support the second I got home from being out with some friends, after talking back and forth with an agent, I was told that the information that I provided has been validated and that I should wait 48-72 hours for a conclusion. Great, right? Wrong. Absolutely and utterly wrong. I waited for over a week, and when I finally received an email on the situation, I was pretty much given a massive middle finger, being told that there was nothing that they could do, and all that they could do was to permanently suspend the Microsoft account indefinitely. I tried responding back to these people multiple times, but they never re-answer me. I tried opening new support cases and I kept getting the same result OVER AND OVER.

    I have been told multiple times to fill out the account recovery form, but first fill out a separate form in order to get the account unlocked, but here's the problem. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE NEW EMAIL IS, BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN CHANGED MORE THAN ONCE TO SCREW ME OVER. I obviously understand why Microsoft can't just tell people this information, but what the hell am I supposed to do? The first thing on the account recovery form is what the CURRENT email of the locked account is, and I literally can't leave it blank. I have literally EVERYTHING ELSE.

    Let me repeat myself, if someone on the forms tells me to try and fill out the recovery form, I CANT. I CANT FILL OUT THE FIRST THING.

    I asked 2 different Microsoft representatives if there was any way that I could speak to a higher-up / somebody at Microsoft who is able to asses my situation, and I have straight up been told NO. This is probably just their protocol, but it literally seems like there is no hope for me. Do they just not keep logs of previous email addresses for accounts? Clearly they do, since I was able to see that the current email is outlook (while being censored, the beginning letters match up).

    I had every measure of security except for 2fa, because I never thought that someone could screw me over this bad before. I should've known better, but this conclusion is just not one that I'm going to accept. I'm not going to accept that my account that I've used for so many years has to just be locked forever, with no possible way to get it back. What even is the point of having a security email and a phone number if anybody can just go in and click a button to remove all security measures with no larger measures to remove them??? It didn't send a SINGLE thing to the recovery email, OR the phone number, so why even have these security measures if they can be removed that easily?

    I am for some reason still able to post on the Microsoft answers forms using the original email, which is the account that I'm posting this from, and I just need help man. I've been going absolutely insane for the past month, and it really feels like the world is out to get me.

    PLEASE, if there is ANYONE at Microsoft who is able to assist me, whether it's via email, or some form of sending messages, I so desperately need it.

    We totally understand your frustration and we apologize for the issues you experienced on your account. However, there's nothing more we can do on our end to help you with the account recovery. Our ACA team had already provided you the feedback about your account. They are the dedicated team that has the ability and are equipped with the advanced tools to help you recover the account. Please understand that Microsoft takes your security very seriously, but to protect customer privacy we can’t do anything to an account beyond helping customers verify their ownership through the steps we’ve already provided.

    Can I PLEASE get help. Please. I just tried to make a repost of this to get to more reps but they just instantly deleted it and now I'm really angry. It's been 1 day short of a MONTH, and all I've gotten are middle fingers and extremely unhelpful information. Everything I've been told to do by reps has been for no reason. I was told that they would transfer EVERYTHING to a new account that I was instructed to create. Never happened. I was told that my information was validated and was being sent through. It wasn't, they lied.

    What the hell Microsoft? Is this just my unluckiness? I've tried to look up other peoples situations on YouTube and stuff, and everyone else seems to have been able to get their accounts back, but me. This should be illegal.

    We appreciate your patience waiting.

    As promised, I've checked your case with our internal team and upon further review and investigating the case, it has been brought up already to our ACA team and they were able to complete the investigation on the account. Unfortunately, it was found out that the account is no longer recoverable and it was already suspended to avoid further damages.

    We understand and emphatize with what you are feeling right now but there's nothing more we can do to help you recover your account. It may be time to consider creating a new account instead.

    Microsoft has actual F tier support. You guys need to do better. You are one of at least 20 people to tell me that, with no way for me to re-open a case about this, or have any higher ups at microsoft help me. I know you guys don't care about 1 unhappy customer, and that it does not matter how screwed over me or anyone else gets, you guys are an absolute disappointment. And that's a lot different from me saying that the reps as people are disappointing, because that's not true. Microsoft Support as a whole is absolute garbage and whoever is responsible for making changes like this needs to do better, but like I said, that does not matter. I'm just one of many people who have been absolutely screwed with nothing more than a middle finger from Microsoft in return.
