My Elite v2 bumper double clicks I have no idea what to do.

Since the Elite v2 came out in 2019, I've lost count of how many I've bought / had repaired. It's in the double digits, and it would be more if it wasn't for covid shutting down all brick and mortar stores and me having to send it back every time to be repaired, not to mention a HORRIBLE customer service experience, my worst ever with any company. The bumpers are seriously flawed, they start to double click, at first its once in a while, and then its VERY often. And then it doesn't click, or it triple clicks. So on any given time touching either bumper, it will A) Not click B) Correctly click once C) Double click D) Triple click. The first few times of repairing them it was an absolute nightmare to deal with customer service, I just went and bought a new one. I've had 3 basically on non stop cycle the second one gets BAD, send it back. I've tried SCUF or Astro's, they're just nowhere near as good. Let me be clear, the Elite v2 is by FAR the best controller I've ever owned. At least for the first month, it is unmatched in any aspect. But usually just over a month the bumper starts to go, so I send it back to be repaired. This is where it gets fun though, the last 3 times I've sent one back, they send it back pretty quick, within 10 days total they've received it, sent out a new one, and I've received the "refurbished" controller, however INSTANTLY upon opening it, its basically like they just opened my package, immediately put it back in a different box and sent it back, because IMMEDIATELY the bumpers are still not working properly. I have no idea how to fix it, IF it is even fixable myself. Trying to contact Microsoft is a nightmare, and even when I get through like I said, it has been the worst experience of my life so I'm coming to the community for answers.

It's a known issue. My left bumper double clicks and I have stick drift.

MATE you are a LEGEND!!! My LB button stopped working so I simply blew as hard as I can in the gap whilst pressing it down, now it works like new again. I am guessing food gets inside the small gaps and causing it to stop working. Thank you so much.. not
sure why i didn't think of trying something this simple before ><

Hey, I’ve had a very similar issue over the past couple of days. My favorite game is Rocket League, I play it all the time. When you are in the air, you can tilt your car left or right by “air rolling”. I had this “air rolling” command bound to my elite
series 2’s LB button. That LB button just recently started acting up. I would jump into the air and it would take a half a second to actually start air rolling. I went to the xbox accessories app and tested the LB button. Sure enough, it took a second to actually
register the click. This controller is extremely expensive, and my warranty ended a few months ago, so i started looking for a fix. I came across someone saying,”blow into the hole between the bumper and the trigger”. Several people were saying this. I didn’t
think it’d work, and I was correct, it didn’t..by itself. I then tried rapidly pressing LB while blowing, and it seems to be working properly now. Hope this helped. I’ll be updating this response if the LB button decides to stop working again. If you are reading

i have the same problem after returning and getting new controller same double click is there an update or somthing

nope there's no update. I haven't even seen microsoft acknowledge this issue even though so many people are having issues
